An Open Letter To Libra For February 2025
Dear Libra,
The first week of February starts off with a Venus Neptune alignment which promises love and romance for those who are currently lingering in hope of finding their soulmate. Meanwhile many more will be eagerly examining their collection of travel brochures in anticipation of grabbing a holiday bargain to celebrate a stroke of good luck. Yes indeed, things start off well for the majority of the Libra community.
Furthermore, good times are indicated for those currently engaged in education or careers of a similar theme, however, some changes are afoot that may entail many minor changes of direction either literally or metaphorically. The baseline of your endeavours is on an ascending trajectory and your financial situation reflects this upward trend. So a few little upsets and false starts are worth putting up with; wouldn’t you agree? Changing astrological direction: a word or two especially for those Libra born who have responsibility for the welfare of elderly relatives. A Mars Uranus configuration imbues you with the drive, energy and foresight necessary to actualise your radically inspirational ideas, much to the advantage of someone very dear to your heart. This may involve you in some interactions with a care home, charitable foundation or the charming owner of a luxury holiday home. Changing astrological direction once again and on a more challenging note: numerous other Libra may have to adopt a leadership role and offer some stern advice to some wayward youths, who are too eager to push against the boundaries of acceptable behaviour. In addition, Mercury in a wide conjunction aspect to Pluto in the Fifth House suggests that reckless behaviour in a sporting environment or how you drive a fast car may incur the attention of someone in uniform. However, on a more optimistic note, acts of individual initiative and fun time flirtations engender experiences both more stimulating and exciting. Could this reflect a more embolden - anxiety free disposition - untroubled by past experiences and topped off by a move to another location, I wonder?
Mighty Jupiter in a trine aspect to the Sun, inspires confidence and (fingers crossed) brings good luck in many guises. Sport and pleasure activities bring popularity and new friendships, while involvement in localised political activities brings a well deserved sense of pride and achievement in its wake. Additionally, the influence of Mercury suggests the acquisition of new skills might enable or necessitates the acquisition of a car. This is potentially a time of new starts and adapting to new and improved conditions.
The second week brings a minority of Libra down to earth with a bump. But it’s not a bad thing because you realize you are now standing on your own two feet and have asserted yourself in a really significant way. Gone are the days when you had to defer to the authority of another. Gone are the days when you were a slave to the whims of someone not fit even to lick the soles of the shoes you are wearing. It feels good doesn't it? Give yourself a metaphorical pat on the back because you have proved your worth in some area or another. You are now master of your own destiny!
Moving on: parenthood or a metamorphosis/initiation of some important relationship is indicated by a significant combination of Venus Pluto energies. Of course, how or indeed if, these energies manifest in your life will be totally dependent upon two vital factors: your Natal Horoscope and the application of your God given free will. Sadly nothing in either quantum physics or astrology is black or white!!
Changing direction once again: if you are of a certain age (like me) you might have an intellectual mountain to climb which comes in the shape of a new computer; software update; flat pack furniture (a practical handyman I’m not) or a new fangled gadget-laden kitchen thingyimy-jig. Conversely, if you are younger and fitter, your challenge may come in the shape of an eager, ardently enthusiastic friend who wants you to accompany them on a future - potentially exhausting - charity fun run. Bless their little cotton socks!!!!
The third week of February begins with the Sun in Aquarius and the Fifth House, Moon opposing Venus and trine Pluto. From this I deduce that a minority Libra might experience a short lived family drama focusing upon the way you have been spending your free time. Indeed, the word “spending” might be an operative word and repeated many times in the heated exchange between yourself and a significant other.
However, the astrological symbolism involved suggests that things will soon return to the usual default “norm”; although what that “norm” is, will be different for every individual reader. In other words some of you will have a kiss and a cuddle and forget it ever happened - while at the other end of the spectrum - some couples will continue to bicker and make snide and hurtful comments to each other for a long period of time.
Also of significance is a rather challenging Sun square Uranus aspect. This may reveal unsuspected solutions to many of your problems, so don’t be scared to think outside the box and use your imagination. Foster optimism and a breadth of vision to encompass all your potential options and alternatives. Uranus urges you to dispense with the limiting “myopic field of intellectual vision”, so to speak; for it has resulted in so many overlooked chances and fostered inappropriate feelings of inadequacy and self-loathing.
But it’s not your fault.
Life isn’t all beer and skittles. Regrettably, bad things happen to all of us from time to time. In the final analysis, life is a learning curve and the influence of Uranus may help you become a better player.
The final week of February gets off to an optimistic start with both the Lesser and Greater Benefics joining forces to improve your current status quo. This might focus on emotional relationships; business partnerships, or, witnessing an open enemy fall - metaphorically - flat on their face in some hilarious fashion. An alternative interpretation might indicate the timely intervention of a well meaning Aunt or Uncle who provides some much needed financial or emotional support at just the right moment. Thanks to them you get back on your feet. Meanwhile Saturn’s authoritative presence helps you to divert or curtail some negative aspects of an overtly masculine influence in your working environment or on a social night out.
Mercury sixth house trine Mars Tenth House might stimulate some kind of action to modify your place in the world. Perhaps you want to feel more useful and contribute more to the overall wellbeing of humankind. Perhaps you have chosen a career path that, despite many advantages, leaves you feeling uninspired and lacking a sense of achievement. That is because you are essentially a well balanced and compassionate individual. Yes, you undoubtedly enjoy the good things in life and without doubt luxury and wealth are important to you.
But you also want to contribute to the common good.
Consequently, you may redirect your career aspirations from what is primarily good for you alone, to a career that brings security and wellbeing to others. This leads me to suspect that some of my most noble-hearted and compassionate readers will consider building a new career in, for example, the ambulance service; the fire service, or caring for the elderly and disadvantaged.
One final observation before I take my leave of you: Jupiter, long regarded as the archetypal symbol of wealth, luxury and jollity, forms an auspicious aspect to Venus, the archetypal symbol of love, romance and all life’s good things.
